Overview
Baseline is a tennis match tracking app built by DotsTech. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data the app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Account & Authentication
Baseline requires you to create an account using your email address and a password. Your credentials are managed securely through Supabase Auth. We use your email solely to authenticate your account and communicate important updates.
Data We Collect
- Email address (used for account login and password reset)
- Player profiles: names, handedness, gender, date of birth, and optional profile photos
- Match data: scores, formats, results, and point-by-point records you enter
- In-match notes and post-match summaries you write
- App settings and preferences
- Subscription and purchase information
All data you enter is synced to secure cloud storage so it is available across your devices and is not lost if you reinstall the app.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and sync your match history and statistics across devices
- To generate performance insights and AI-powered match summaries
- To enable match sharing via shareable links (only when you choose to share)
- To manage your subscription status
- To restore your account if you change or reinstall the app
Photo Library Access
Baseline requests access to your photo library only if you choose to set a profile picture for a player. Profile photos are uploaded and stored securely in cloud storage. They are only used to display within the app and are not shared with third parties.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. All data is protected with Row Level Security — meaning each user can only access their own data. Data is also cached locally on your device for offline access. Supabase's infrastructure is hosted on AWS and complies with industry-standard security practices.
Match Sharing
Baseline includes an optional feature to share a live match via a link. If you create a share link, the match score and stats become temporarily accessible to anyone with that link. You can disable sharing at any time, which immediately revokes access.
Third-Party Services
- Supabase — database, authentication, and file storage (supabase.com)
- AI inference — used to generate match summaries when you request them (no data is stored by the AI provider beyond processing the request)
We do not use any advertising networks, sell your data, or share it with third parties beyond the services listed above.
Children's Privacy
Baseline is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, please contact us and we will delete the data promptly.
Data Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at hello@baselineapp.ca. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days of your request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
